Episode 33 - Did You Know You Can Pick Apples at a National Park?

In this episode, I share what National Park you can see amazing sights at as well as go apple picking at in the fall.

Did you know there's actually a national park where you can pick your own apples? I was so excited when I found that out! The park is the underrated Capitol Reef National Park in Utah. With more famous parks like Arches, Zion, and Bryce Canyon in the state, Capitol Reef is often overlooked—but it's at the top of my bucket list to visit during apple season one fall. In today’s podcast episode, I share about the different varieties of apples you may be able to pick there.

If you follow the park’s Facebook page, you can get updates on which fruit is in season. They have more than just apples! If you're a big apple enthusiast like me and love being out in nature—especially in our national parks—you’ll definitely want to plan a trip too. They even have a unique apple variety called the Capitol Reef Red, which is a cross between a Red and Golden Delicious.

Last week, I asked how important the appearance of an apple is when deciding whether or not to buy it. The general consensus was that it’s important, but not the most important factor.
