Episode 41 - What's a Blondee Apple?

I am continuing my yellow apple month with a family favorite that we first u-picked in southwest Michigan - the Blondee.

Today on the podcast, I am talking about the Blondee apple. This apple is actually a type of Gala apple that came from a mutation on a Gala tree! In this episode I will talk about how a yellow apple came from a red apple and where I have found the best tasting Blondee apples in the country.

I have done a full write up on this apple variety on my blog in the past, that you can read right here - Blondee apples

Have you seen this variety before at a farmer’s market, orchard, or farm stand?
