Most of the apple varieties we find in the grocery store today are under 100 years old, probably most under 50 years old and most way less than that. But I have found an apple variety that is almost 390 years old - the Roxbury Russet (learn more about this apple on my blog).
This isn’t the first time I have talked about apples that have brown in their skin. I am a fan of these types of apples and I would to increase your familiarly with them. Here is an earlier podcast episode I did on one in case you haven’t listened to it yet.
