Where It Is Better to Buy Apples - Costco or Sam's Club?
In this newsletter, I discuss whether I would rather be shopping for apples at a Costco store or a Sam's Club store.
Recently, I went into a Sam’s Club store with my mom in Michigan. It had been many years since I had stepped foot in a Sam’s Club. I was curious to see how their current apple selection compared to what you find at Costco.
Here are the list of apples that I found on that February day:
Gala
Cosmic Crisp
Fuji (Organic)
Ambrosia Gold
In the past I have found these varieties at Sam’s Club:
Granted, not all of those Costco varieties are available at the same time, but I felt that the selection of apples at Sam’s Club that day wouldn’t match up to any time I shopped at Costco. I like that Costco has apples like Wild Twist, Opal, and Evercrisp—varieties that aren’t in the top 10 but are still good apples that I enjoy buying.
Sam’s Club was having a deal on Cosmic Crisp apples:
There are a lot of Cosmic Crisp apples on the market, making them an affordable option, especially since many stores are having deals on them, so that isn’t unusual at all. I talked about that in this week’s podcast episode—
Head over to that page as well to share your comments about the Cosmic Crisp apple—I want to hear from YOU. Do you love it, hate it, or just tolerate it?
Also, do you shop at Costco or Sam’s Club and buy apples there?
