Have You Tasted the Karma Apple Yet? 🍎
In this newsletter, I am talking about the Karma apples that I found in the grocery store recently.
Last week, I asked you guys if you have ever heard of the Nikita apple (also known as Kanzi). It was 100% no to those who replied to the poll. I am going to ask you the same kind of question again this week.
I first encountered this apple at a Macey’s store in Spanish Fork, Utah back in July of 2023. Didn’t see again until recently at Ream’s in Springville, Utah. Both of these stores are part of the Associated Foods stores group (it’s mostly stores in Utah, Idaho, and other western states).
This is another apple that was created by crossing a Honeycrisp with another apple. In this case it’s crossed with an apple that is a cross of Golden Delicious and Fuji.
