Have You Heard of Nikita Apples?
In this newsletter, I am talking all about Nikiita apples that I just saw in the grocery store this past week.
I wanted to start off with a poll for you.
At first I thought my answer would be NO to that question. However it turns out that I have had this apple before, several times. It actually goes by another name.
Nikita apples and Kanzi apples are the same variety. You may not have been able to tell that as the Nikita apples had, little to no red blush on the skin.
Now if you aren’t familiar with Kanzi apples, I have a full write up about them you can read on the blog.
Sometimes apples end up with multiple names for different reasons. Pink Lady is actually a trademarked name for the Cripps Pink apple. A Kiku apple is a sport variety of Fuji. Rave and First Kiss are the same apple, marketed under 2 different names.
Reminder - If you love what you are seeing in this email, make sure you hit the LIKE (heart) button. Thank you for everyone that did last week, I would LOVE to see even more LIKES this week.
Thanks everyone for continuing to request new stores be added to my apple store guides. New stores to be added soon include: Giant, Safeway, Nob Hill, Hannaford (I miss Maine!), and Whole Foods
What grocery store would you like me to do next? Put your request in here.
Research the Lemonade apple, so if you see it in stores you can be ready or not to try them if they sound up your alley!
