The Best Apple I Have Had in Months
Today I am sharing with you the best tasting apple that I have had in months, so you can look for it too.
May isn’t exactly known as a great time to buy apples—but that doesn’t mean you can’t still find a good one now and then.
This past week, I picked up a bag of Wild Twist apples from a Fred Meyer store in Oregon (owned by Kroger). I’ve had this variety many times before which is why I added a bag to my cart. It’s a cross between a Honeycrisp and a Pink Lady. You can read my full write-up on the variety over on my blog.
Now, I won’t say every apple in the bag was extraordinary, but one in particular stood out—it was, without a doubt, the best apple I’ve had in months. The flavor was incredible, with the perfect balance of sweetness and tartness. A few others in the bag were good, and one was just okay. But that one amazing apple? Totally worth the price of the whole bag!
Have you ever tried this variety? Vote in my poll and let me know. It’s one of my favorite apples that has Honeycrisp as a parent.
