Love Gala Apples? You'll Flip for Sansa Apples!
In this newsletter, I am going to share with you about a sweet apple that you must try if Gala apples are among your favorites or your family's favorite.
One of the things that was requested from my Fall Apple Survey was to hear about apples that compare to other varieties of apples. This way you can discovery new to you apples that you might love.
Today I am covering an apple that is like a Gala apple, the Sansa.
This apple looks very close to Gala in it’s appearance. No surprise because Gala is one of it’s parents! It’s a sweet apple with a flavor that I think I prefer slightly over Gala, although I still need to try them fresh off the tree and side by side.

Sansa is a favorite of one of my daughters. We got to pick them together back in 2021 at Hooper’s Orchard in Maine, one of my favorite orchards I have been to (see my full list of the most charming orchards to see which other ones are on it).
